  1. Acoustic is a term describing a musical
  2. instrument played without electrical 
  3. amplification or assistance, such as the
  4. acoustic guitar or acoustic piano. It is 
  5. also a term used by musicians to 
  6. characterize room response, an important
  7. factor in music performance. A so-called 
  8. bright acoustic provides a lively 
  9. reverberation while a dry or muddy 
  10. acoustic is lacking in response. The Royal
  11. Festival Hall in London was designed with
  12. a neoclassical dry acoustic and has an
  13. electrically assisted reverberation system
  14. installed.
